Drought and heat are increasing wildfire danger across the state. As a result, burn bans have been implemented in many areas. According to recent data, a significant portion of Texas counties are now under burn bans.

This measure affects roughly seven in ten counties, with 178 out of 254 counties impacted. Certain counties, however, are not currently under burn bans.

Further information on the affected areas and the current status of burn bans can be found through the Texas A&M Forest Service data.
