Wildland firefighters from Texas A&M Forest Service are working to suppress wildfires. Efforts are ongoing to combat several fires, including the Ross Fire, which has burned 90,400 acres. Other fires include the Follow Fire and South Day Fire, which have burned 400 and 77 acres respectively.

The Red Gate Fire and Half Section Fire have also been reported, burning 466 and 123 acres. These fires are located in various counties, with the Ross Fire in Palo Pinto County and the Follow Fire and South Day Fire in Sutton County.
