Companies have made changes to their cereal products. Certain ingredients are being removed from these items. This move follows agreements made with a government official. The official, Attorney General Ken Paxton, reached settlements with major brands.

As a result of these settlements, harmful substances are no longer used in cereals served in schools. The affected products are those made by Kellogg's and General Mills.
